We are a statewide network of residents of affordable housing, those in need of housing, and front line staff, who are committed to the belief that everyone deserves access to safe, stable, and affordable housing.
As a Residents Organizing for Change (ROC) member you have the opportunity to get involved with housing justice advocacy, and helping to make sure everyone has a safe and stable home.Tweets by ROCOregon
how to get involved
Every other Tuesday we have a community check-in meeting called the “Ruckus”. This is a great way to get introduced to the members and ask questions. Everyone interested in advocacy is welcome. Check out the ROC calendar to stay in the know:
ROC has a Steering Committee led by residents and front line staff, and each steering committee member is a representative of a particular region in Oregon. Get involved in ROC to learn more about the Steering Committee.
monthly meetings & trainings
ROC has a monthly membership meeting, trainings, and summits that build our leaders, create opportunities to meet other people doing this work across the country, and build a culture of accountability and trust. Join ROC here to learn more.
We do all this to create lasting policy change that builds pathways to safe and stable housing for all Oregonians! Home is essential and everyone has a right to have access to housing. Learn more.
Oregon’s Laws are a reflection of our values.
Our Housing Opportunity Week (HOWie) is an opportunity for residents of affordable housing and people in need of affordable housing to discuss housing issues with policy makers and advance a legislative agenda to support housing justice.
Stories have the power to change how people think about an issue. Your story matters. It can make a big impact in the lives of many Oregonians who need access to stable housing.
